Well We've Opened and it is almost time to leave Denver

So, we are officially open and the National Tour of Peter and the Starcatcher is underway!  I have about a week left in Denver.  It has been a very very busy, but good time here.  I've worked a lot, but I have gotten to do some fun stuff.  I have enjoyed many drinks on 16th street, which is the main drag here in Denver.  I have had some delicious food, including a really amazing espresso encrusted sirloin from a steakhouse called, Prime.
A couple of my friends from Ohio moved out here in June, and I have seen them more in these few weeks than I have in the last 4 years!  It's been great.  I have gone to their apartment, we went up into the mountains, had dinner downtown, drinks downtown, breakfast just the other day.  It's been such a treat.
I made it up to Rocky National Park, and I plan to go out to Mt. Evans tomorrow with some friends on my last day off in Denver.
We had a lovely opening night party with food and drinks at a place right across from the theater.
Things are good!

Day Off in Denver

Well today was a day off, day off meaning I wasn't at the theater.  I was however doing paperwork all morning and running errands all afternoon.  There is still a lot of items I need to do before Monday when I go back to work.

Dinner was good, I went out with the Audio team tonight, Jarrett and Jeremy.  We went to the Paramount Cafe on the 16th street Mall.  It was delicious.  I couldn't decided between the fish & chips or the beef stroganoff.  I got the stroganoff.  It was wonderful, there really wasn't much meat, but the sauce was excellent and the noodles were spirals and big.  Delicious!  I had a vanilla porter to start and then an Angry Orchard cider to finish.  I really really love ciders.
Another very exciting part of my day was when I was picking up vodka for the costumes, I got a 6 pack of New Belgium, PumpKick.  Now New Belgium brewing company is not far from here, it's in Fort Collins, CO.  I have visited the brewery in the past, their most famous beer is probably Fat Tire.  I love pumpkin beers so much, and I am thrilled to try this beer.  I'll be sure to let you know how it is.  It's pumpkin, cranberry and spices.  YUM is what is sounds like.

Alright, I'm off!~

DENVER

Alright, well I've been in Denver for almost 3 days.  I started work at the theater labeling costumes and getting ready to get actors into costume on Monday.  I've met the remaining crew members that I'll be touring with for the next 10 months.  Everyone seems nice.  There are some old faces and some new faces, and I'm looking forward to it.

We are staying in an awesome hotel in the heart of downtown Denver.  It's actually an extended stay so it's like I have a mini apartment.  Full fridge, two burners, microwave, sink, it's awesome.  This will be my home for the next month.  My two suitcases are still packed up.  When I feel like I have a lot of energy, I'll unpack and get settled in.
Last night, I went out for a few drinks at a local bar.  I had several beers and got to chat with some of the crew.  The cast and creatives fly to Denver on Sunday, and we start with the full company on Monday.  And, I've started watching, Orange is the New Black on Netflix.  It's pretty good.

So right now, it's smooth and not too stressful.  I had a fantastic time in NY while I was there, and I'll write more about that later.  For now, I'm off to have a relaxing evening at home in my little apartment. =)
